Not only did I bond with my peers, but because of my small class sizes I made great connections with many of my teachers. Working with teachers who have PhDs has been a huge privilege, although one issue I continued to notice was that math teachers with advanced doctorates in knot theory and more, struggled to teach the basics to students who were just beginning with calculus. Our school will only hire teachers with at least a master's degree, but almost none of them have a degree in education, which I believe has set back the progress many of the students here could have made.... I was on the varsity tennis and basketball team through my years there for which I had feedback that hopefully reflected in change. Our basketball team went through coach changes- which do happen- but you never expect it to happen at the end of the first year of the school's operation. My tennis team's coach was the parent of one of the athletes on the team and I think that caused an imbalance on the team when a player that was better than their child got a spot on the team. Overall, I suggested that we have unbiased coaches so that this incident would not happen again.... It was very challenging from the start, and I can see in my younger siblings as well the stress that the school induces. However, the education we all received/are receiving is above the standard for public schools. I know I am set for college and a vast majority of my classmates are too. The variety of teachers keeps students on their toes and some are definitely more liked than others. But they all care about the students in different ways and looking back I can see this. I’m appreciative of the teachers I was taught by and the lessons I learned with them.The way certain subjects are taught makes it extremely stressful being an FA student, and at times it’s exceptionally boring.. The school spirit is also sort of nonexistent and the drama in the school genuinely spreads like wildfire. Staff and all students will know your drama if you have it.FA is a blessing and a curse.... Academics are just one of the many redeeming qualities of our school, next to our clubs and students that make everyday an incredible experience. Faculty members are always ready and willing to reach out and help students in order to make every year exceptional. Similar to other schools, we've had our fair share of incidents. There re many times that I have felt that our school was deemed unsafe, more so due to the student's actions and not our staff, who have been working hard to correct and deal with these matters.
