RWE Clean Energy is a quickly-growing Renewable Energy owner/operator in North America. Our wind, solar, and battery energy storage assets combine to form a portfolio of 8GW. With a deep understanding of operations and engineering, the company is accelerating the use of self-developed tools, and has need of professional product owners.

The Digital Product Owner team will own and manage multiple digital products on behalf of the business. They'll be accountable to the Operations department, and work consistently with the IT/OT department in order to maintain and further develop current products, along with creating new products. The team will work with developers, SCRUM masters, and tech leads using a DevOps methodology.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a SCRUM team to manage user stories - write, prioritize, clarify, review, and close them, and communicate new features and bug fixes to users
  • Define user-level access permissions and manage approvals day-to-day for user access
  • Gather feedback from user groups (Field Operations, Control Center, Reliability Engineering, etc) on existing features and their further needs to develop new user stories
  • Meet with technical teams (Business Applications, OT, SCADA, etc) to understand the capability of the underlying systems and develop solutions to enchance the product landscape
  • Roll out new products, and train users both in office and in the field in the use of those products
  • Develop and track Product KPIs and evaluate success of each product
  • Manage the budgets for development resources working on improvements to the products
  • Analyze the application landscape and identify strategic needs and gaps that can be supported and filled by product enhancements, feature development, and/or new products
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, IT, or Business required

  • 2+ years of professional experience

  • Experience in Renewable Energy and Industrial Controls strongly preferred

  • Experience in Software Project Management or Software Development preferred

    Training in SCRUM preferred

  • Familiarity with MS Azure and Azure DevOps preferred

  • Proven project management, presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and able to quickly understand, clarify, and document new concepts

  • Highly motivated and able to operate and grow independently while communicating with others as needed

  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations

  • Most be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $93,000 - $140,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
