Jackson Co., IA (August 30, 2024) – A truck struck a person in a wheelchair on Wednesday in Jackson County, resulting in injuries. The Iowa State Patrol reported the incident occurred around 1:17 p.m. on Leisure Lake Rd. A southbound Ford F250 lost control while navigating a right-hand curve. Colliding with a person traveling northbound in an electric wheelchair. Two individuals were transported to the hospital following the accident. Their conditions remain unknown as of Friday. Authorities are investigating the circ*mstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
