Renown Health Foundation is proud to announce that our generous community has successfully raised $25,000 for the pharmacy in the Conrad Breast Center at Renown South Meadows Medical Center in honor of Kristina Ferrari.On Jan. 10 of this year, Kristinapassed after fighting a cancer diagnosis for almost three years with bravery and dignity. 41-year-old Kristina was a caring, funny and feisty mother of two young boys and a loving wife to Ian, a 15-year Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at the William N. Pennington Cancer Institute.In a tribute to Kristina’s loving legacy and to leave a lasting memorial for her boys, Renown Health Foundationraised funds to commemorate her and have chosen to name the pharmacy in the Conrad Breast Center in her honor. 💜

The Healthy Nevada Project has partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Public Health scientists to study gut health and irritable bowel syndrome. This survey will be used to assess eligibility to participate in a study assessing differences in serum markers between healthy participants and those with chronic gut conditions.Qualifying participants will be contacted to provide a small blood sample and will receive a $25 gift card for their time if they end up being selected to provide a sample. Renown Children's Hospital was honored to welcome Dr. Nathan Rosenberg, a pediatric physical medicine and rehab physician from The Ohio State University. Dr. Rosenburg gave an excellent lecture on recognizing, diagnosing and supporting patients and families through early therapies for cerebral palsy.Following his lecture, our pediatric medicine leaders held a panel discussion and took attendees through a tour of Renown Rehabilitation Hospital, painting a picture of future pediatric rehabilitation capabilities right here in Reno-Tahoe.Thank you for visiting, Dr. Rosenburg!
