Salt Creek Township, OH (August 30, 2024) – A deadly collision occurred on Ohio 146 near milepost 24, involving a Nissan Sentra and a Chevy 1500 around 9:30 a.m. Friday. Michael Munoz, 35, from Lowell, was eastbound in his Nissan when he veered into oncoming traffic, striking Jeffrey Starr, 69, from Chandlersville, head-on. Both drivers were rushed to Genesis Hospital. Jeffrey Starr succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Michael Munoz received treatment for his injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash, with ongoing support from local emergency services. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
