Through generous philanthropy and community-wide support, Golisano Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 2017 with a mission to deliver vital and lifesaving care for children and families in our region. Southwest Florida continues to grow rapidly, accelerating the need for expanded and new children’s healthcare programs and services.
As the only children’s hospital in Southwest Florida, Golisano treats every child, regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Your philanthropy helps us serve families in our area, as well as fund dynamic programs and services for our youngest population, from the NICU to childhood cancer to mental health. Little Red Wagon Fund
A philanthropic gift to the Little Red Wagon Fund supports advancing innovative pediatric programs, technologies, and services in Southwest Florida. You can make an impact by helping to bring life-changing pediatric specialties so no child has to leave home for the care they need.
Child Life & Advocacy
Entirely funded by private donations, this program brings comfort to children and their families by working with a Certified Child Life Specialist who provides clinical and emotional expertise while helping navigate their experience at Golisano.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Providing highly specialized care to the tiniest miracles, the NICU at Golisano is the only Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center in our seven-county region, helping families and their newest family members receive lifesaving healthcare closer to home.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
As the only PICU between Tampa and Miami, your philanthropy can help provide elevated intensive care for young patients who require expert care around the clock. At Golisano, the PICU cares for critically ill or injured infants to young adults from birth to 21 years of age.
Ophthalmology
The SWLF Children’s Charities Eye Institute of Golisano Children’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering expanded ophthalmology services to support children with visual disorders. Continued philanthropy reduces wait times for patients and promotes collaboration between doctors.
Neurosurgery
When time matters most, the new pediatric neurosurgery program at Golisano Children’s Hospital provides immediate, specialized care for brain and spinal cord injuries so that children do not need to be transported to an out-of-area hospital for lifesaving care.
