Hello! In four short days my crew and I will fly out of Chicago’s own illustrious O’Hare International Airport, point of departure for all sorts of fun adventures.

We’ll be on Alaska Airlines for the first time and arriving in Seattle early evening Thursday where we’ll head straight to our hotel to hunker down and await our 11am check in at port Friday morning.

Join The Bird, *live*, from the beautiful Norwegian Joy on a Mother’s Day cruise to Bermuda. The Joy started her Bermuda season in April and will continue sailing to Bermuda weekly through mid-October (She takes a break during September to make two fall foliage cruises to Quebec.

I disembarked from the Prima on Sunday in Southampton UK along with Cruise Critic luminaries@mking8288and @Travelicious.As always, there were pros and cons on that 15-day transatlantic sailing from New York, but being able to finally meet CC friends in person and forging new friendships with the solo group members tipped the scale more to the pro side. There were many late nights at the Prima Club, Syd Norman’s and the Local (aka new O’Sheehans), so my body never quite adjusted to the new time zone and felt like it never left New York.

Hello everyone! My name is Beth and I have returned for another Live, this time from the Jubilee! I have previously done live threads from the Regal Princess (new years cruise with my whole fam) and Carnival Radiance (spring break trip with just my sister). This time I will be with just my mom, and as the title says, this trip is to celebrate my graduation from college.

I’m excited for this cruise of firsts. It’s my first TA, first HAL cruise, first cruise longer than 7 days and first live review.

A little background: We are a semi-retired couple in our early 50s and early 60s. We’ve mainly cruised smaller, older ships on partial week itineraries on various mainstream lines. This is a combo caregiving respite/30th anniversary trip.

Greetings from the Regal Princess

After spending the night in Southampton. We had a 5 mile taxi ride to the Ocean Terminal in our pre-booked taxi. Ride was 16£. Arrived 11am.
Easy luggage drop off. Just look for the luggage pod for your deck.
Green lane easy check in and quick security and on board before 1130am.
Got our cabin, dropped off bags, met our steward(Randy) watched the safety video. Off to check in at muster station.
Bloody Mary at Crooners to start the trip.
Leisurely day on the ship before sailway. It was a beautiful mid 60s partly sunny day.

But we leave tomorrow for Gatwick Airport, stay the night at the Sofitel then on to Lisbon for 2 nights at the Avenida Palace before joining Her Windship on 19th.

This was an offer by a large UK travel agent whose Offers are advertised to Readers of UK newspapers. Flight, 2 nights Lisbon, cruise and home to airport then London to home limo. £5299 each minus £150 each from a previous credit.

Wasn’t going to do a live from for this cruise with the land portion and needing a full escape but with all the hub hub about the propulsion issues though I might as well.

This is our first (and my first) land tour and one way Alaska cruise and have been looking forward to this since the Crown Princess Alaska debacle that we were in almost 2 years ago to the day. While I may have little faith when it comes to some corporate decisions from Princess I think the Sapphire (full disclosure it’s our favorite ship in the fleet) will provide us a good journey southbound despite the incoming cruise issues.

As an introduction, I'm Annabelle! ☺️ I'm a 25 year old from the south of England, United Kingdom. I've been on a few NCL (along with a few other cruise lines) before but this was quite a while ago and when I was younger, with my family. This is not only my first venture back into cruising again, but my first as an adult and as a solo traveller! This will be quite solo orientated as I am one, but I will try to also share information on other aspects too!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my second Live! I have not been on the boards much this year, but I still want to do a live since it’s basically a travel diary for me. Last year, I did a live for the exact same cruise that I am doing this year. The title of my live had to do with traveling on a budget because my partner, Kaleb, and I had just graduated from doctoral programs and were jobless. The great news is that we both have awesome jobs now that we love. So budget (to a degree) no more!

I’m in heaven! It’s been a while and after a rough year in which I had a bad accident, I am finally back on board a cruise ship. The sea is calm, the sun is shining and I am dozing on our balcony. There is a big difference however in my current cruising and that is that I now have to use a rollator. So, first issue. Saga provide complimentary transport to the port but - I couldn’t get in the smart Mercedes people carrier. Not in the front passenger seat, not into the back. The step was just too high for me. My neighbour kindly provided a solution in the form of a shower step but …¦.

Come along with us as we visit Haugesund, Olden, Alesund, Stavenger & Oslo Norway onboard the Silhouette!

This my spouse’s 50th birthday trip. We flew from Toronto to Brussels on April 30th and spent two nights in Brussels, then took the train to Amsterdam for another two nights before boarding the ship yesterday. Brussels was fun, but it is a one and done for us, but we’ll definitely be coming back to spend more time in Amsterdam!
